Hotel Reviews and Comments from our Guests
We enjoyed the stay greatly. The rooms are very well kept, the breakfast, serving every day fresh food from the farm, were a highlight of the day.
If you want to avoid the hustle and loudness of 7 mile beach, this is the place for you. It's about a 30 minute drive from the airport, but so very worth it.
We have both traveled the world extensively and agreed that Retreat was one of the very best places we have ever stayed. And most certainly, we have never received such fine hospitality elsewhere.
Our room was clean and lovely with a large bathroom. We met the other guests at breakfast on the deck and it was a Cayman style breakfast-very nice...
Top quality local dishes such as chilled coconut water, fried plantain, salt fish and ackee, and fresh johnnycakes would be hard to find in the tourist restaurants of Georgetown or Seven Mile Beach. As well, the rooms are spotless, comfortable…
We were intrigued with the idea of a B&B on a working farm, and so chose The Retreat. Guided by our vivacious hosts Harvey and Betty, we wandered through their plantation of coconut, papaya, mango, sugar cane, breadfruit and then sat to eat it all.
This B&B is very clean and inviting. Everyone at the B&B was very accommodating and welcoming. Breakfast was always fresh and tasty and the gardens are gorgeous.
The b and b is on off the tourist beat but close enough to drive to any beach. Lush gardens surround you, and homemade breakfast every morning was a real treat.
I was blown away by how affordable it was and the value for the money. Each morning, we were served a breakfast that was delicious. With fresh fruit and coconut water and local dishes like ackee and fish ...
The quality and flavors...along with the service of this meal alone makes this property a great value. It's so nice to pop out of bed...grab a hot meal with no effort...and then have the rest of the day to play.
The rooms are extremely bright and comfortable with *amazing* beds and each decorated tastefully and uniquely. Not to mention they are all spotless!!
We really just cannot say enough about this wonderful hidden gem. Another great trip to Grand Cayman and it definitely won't be our last
We highly recommend you stay there and take advantage of the food, culture and hospitality of the island!
Just wanted to let you know what an absolutely wonderful time we all had in Grand Cayman!! The Retreat at Lookout was just perfect for our needs.
Thank you Lisa for all your patient assistance in getting our stay arranged and answering all our questions so helpfully and promptly. That was decisive in our choosing to come to the Cayman Islands.
We were particularly entranced by the beauty and gentle pace of the place and by the lovely staff.
The Retreat at Lookout is definitely a hotel I would recommend to anyone who likes the quieter side of the island. The rooms are very modern and were perfectly clean every day.
We had a wonderful time and will definitely be staying there again.

I enjoyed the stay very much everybody was very friendly and helpful.
We were pleased to be able see what some of the foods that were unfamiliar to us looked like and how they were grown.
Everything I can think of was positive - the room, the location, and he breakfast. We were very happy there.
I liked my stay very much, and I look forward to visiting again.
We were completely blown away by the 5* treatment for a very reasonable rate.
